Volunteers are the heart of our event! The Genesee Valley Homesteading Expo relies on passionate individuals like you to ensure a successful and enjoyable experience for all attendees. If you love the self-sufficient lifestyle, enjoy meeting new people, and want to contribute to our vibrant community, we would love to have you on our team. 

Why Volunteer? (What's in it for you!) 

• Free Admission: All volunteers receive free entry to the expo for both days of the event. 
• Behind-the-Scenes Access: Get an inside look at how a large-scale event comes together. 
• Swag: Receive a special volunteer t-shirt 
• Gain Experience: Learn new skills in event management, logistics, and more that can boost your resume. 

We are looking for help in various areas: 

• Registration/Welcome Desk: Greet attendees, check tickets, and provide general information. 
• Workshop/Speaker Support: Assist presenters with setup, manage A/V needs, and ensure sessions run smoothly. 
• Vendor Relations: Help vendors find their booths, answer questions, and assist with load-in/load-out. 
• General Event Support: Direct foot traffic, answer general questions, and help keep the venue tidy. 

Volunteer Requirements: 

• Must be at least 18 years old. 
• Be reliable, positive, and ready to jump in where needed. 
• Ability to commit to at least one half-day shift.
